The final World Cup was a tough mental battle for me. My body was saying no more, so it was really tough to fight through the race. I had a descent start, but then started losing places, making it even tougher mentally. I finished up in 30th place, which was a rather average way to finish a very average world cup season. Oh well, I think I've learnt a lot and have already started planning what to do different next year. I have a two year contract with Cannondale Vredestein, so I don't need to worry about that at least!
It's time now to put away the race bike and bring out the Prophet, until the weather turns bad... we've got a 7 day mission planned starting Wednesday which includes circumnavigating Mont Blanc... I'll be sure to post up some photos and report afterwards :)

  Hey. Sorry for no updates since the worlds... I've been seriously lacking internet access back here, and also feeling a little empty after such an incredable week. I'm currently in Schladming, Austria, at an internet cafe and can't stay long... Overall my feeling of 'our' Worlds was that it was a huge success. It was a real honour for me to be able to race in front of my friends and family and I was happy to have giving it a good go, especially in my first lap. Got to say a huge thanks to everyone that made it there and cheered... it was frankly the most noise I have ever heard, or actually felt. Its hard to explain what a buzz that was... better then any drug in the word, not that I'd know! I still get a shiver when I think of it; so thanks every one of u !!!
I'll try to write a little more soon... I'm taking time off the bike after this weekend, which I really need!
